lately I have been working on writing prompts on Tumblr that have led me to start an urban fantasy. I have considered the idea of a teenage demi girl who has no interest in sex or intimate touching with another person but then she meets a faerie prince who just bugs her. He won’t stop trying to figure out the why. She spends the whole time getting him back home constantly reminding him that no she has no interest in anyone or anything.

He is gonna push her buttons while trying to act like a human. This whole thing is a game to him while he steps away from his usual responsibilities to bother a human girl who just stumbled upon his home. She just has the worst of luck. She thought life would be easier after getting her license. Turns out her friends just wanted to go to the local party spot. Sadly enough my MC does not do parties and wandered off. Her crazy friend somehow got the fae involved in the party and the kids disappear slowly as they all get snatched by the fae.

My MC will have to convince His Highness to set the kids free and back to their homes. Along the way she makes a friend with a local barista who has had trouble with His Highness before.

I’m thinking of working on this idea as a way out of my writer’s block with “Vera’s Beginning.” I love dark fantasy in an urban setting. But I’m bored with the typical romance that follows suit so I’m going to highlight a main character who identifies as Asexual. I actually can’t wait to follow this character for a bit.
