Hello everyone. I went on a hiking trip with my kids over the summer. We went to see the Parallel Forest. It was planted by the government in order to help with the dust bowl. It helped to an extent at the time but it left behind an extremely creepy forest. My kids kept talking about Slenderman and how he stalks you as you walk alone at night. I told them that even walking home with the streetlights is still creepy. I once delivered newspapers around my neighborhood and one evening I was finishing up late. The street was filled with the yellow glow and buzzing sounds of large lights high up on poles but that didn’t stop the echo. It was so quiet, other than the crickets all I heard were my footsteps. They echoed and made me think someone else was there. No one was but I thought I heard steps from someone else. I scanned every fence and every house but saw nothing. I still panicked and ran home quickly finishing my paper route. They couldn’t believe…. that I had a paper route. LOL We spent the afternoon exploring the trail through the Parallel Forest. We didn’t see Slenderman, but they still have hope to one day find him.
